These disorders are fortunately rare but not exceptional.
Spinal stenosis is a serious problem for patients suffering from a skeletal dysplasia. They can induce neurological deficits dued to radicular or medullary compressions. The diagnosis is usually made too late, once the neurological deficit is irreversible or threatening the vital prognosis.
The knowledge of this pathology has allowed the screening of these potential complications. A preventive treatment can be performed as soon as the diagnosis has been confirmed.
