Si totusi, in Sarpele exista o singura exceptie, memorabila. Get A Copy. Hardcover , BPT Jurnalul , pages. Ce frumos este fantasticul lui Eliade Multi ani dupa ce am citit "La tiganci" am aceeasi dificultate in a sesiza unde se termina realul si unde incepe fantasticul mai ales in "Sarpele".

Punctele i le dau pentru ca in anumite locuri Eliade stie sa creeze atmosfera. Domnisoara Christina - tema strigoiului, bine prezentata in prima parte a nuvelei.

Acele imagini fugare, zgomote.

Franturi, ok, I go with that.

Domnisoara Christina is a very wierd story. The author succeeds in giving you the chills. The ending though is somewhat wierd and I'm not sure I completly understood what exactly happened. Sarpele on the other hand is pretty straight forward and I enjoyed it more. Both tales are very well written, full of romanian traditional miths.

Mar 04, Ukume rated it it was amazing. Mar 04, Bogdan rated it it was amazing Shelves: romanian. These two micro-novels helped me explore another part of Eliade's fiction, where he proves how to use supernatural for creating powerful thrillers.

Both novels are resembling with Stephen King's works, but precede them with several decades, as they are published in the 30s. I really enjoyed them and also liked the fact that they were so captivating I could felt the fear of the characters. Mar 02, Cristian rated it it was amazing.

Spookie read during the night. I love Eliade's style. It's a bit like the literary version of looking at a surrealist painting :.

Jul 30, Book Lover rated it it was ok.

View 1 comment. Oct 22, Pavel Nedelcu rated it liked it Shelves: romanian-literature. Jan 16, Ally Fox rated it it was amazing. Aug 08, Cristi rated it it was amazing Shelves: mystery.

A short creepy tale rooted in romanian folclore. A good scare. Loved it! Jun 11, Prundeanu Ciprian rated it really liked it. Nov 19, Simula Paul rated it liked it. Dec 14, Lacri Tita rated it it was amazing.

Jan 08, Elisabeth Damian rated it it was amazing. I have finally found my alter-ego when it comes to Romanian Literature: Miss Christina The only one she loves the most thrusts a stake though her chest and kills her in the end.
