The 1N is a standard silicon switching signal diode. It is one of the most popular and long-lived switching diodes because of its dependable specifications and low cost. As the most common mass-produced switching diode, the 1N replaced the older 1N They differed mainly in their leakage current specification, however, today most manufacturers list common specifications.

Given the success in the last thread on transistors , I thought I would ask about SMT variants of the venerable 1N diode. Find and address the root cause rather than try to fix the effect, as there is no end to the latter. I know, Ditto for the 1Nx. Not sure if I already have an alternative not in the shack now , but for signals I use BAR43 schottky's. With the low Vcc's in these days a good choice IMO.

So, what other cheap-as-chips SMT small signal diodes are really common? Tags: Learning and Information , General Electronics. Dec 30, - AM. Log in or register to post comments Top. Level: Raving Lunatic. Posted by Plons : Sun. Level: Rookie. Posts: 41 View posts.
